My opinion is that both Satriani and Petrucci are technicaly better than Jimi Hendrix was, so he couldn't put them in "their places". but i agree that Jimi Hendrix had much more soul.

Man, this guy and Petrucci both are losers. They play like robots. They just stand up there (and in Satriani's case, looking like a pedophile) and shred for eight minutes. What ever happened to patience? What ever happened to playing a melodic solo instead of mindless scale-surfing. That's why those guys aren't any good. There's no substance to what they're doing. There's no emotion. They would suck at blues. If Jimi were still alive, he'd put these FAKES in their places.

does that matter??? you still cant compare them. Technically every rocker has indirect blues influence... but hey blues rythems and blues guitar playing are different. Yes he has blues influence, its just in the rythems.
