of course they are humans, are normal persons .of darkness (like gothics or maybe satanists?) the Vampire is a symbol, the obscure devil symbol terrible threat they can be, on the vampire hotel they found phrases as "Those who came to this place fear not even evil;" (//hey we can see marked on the wall on the hotel "AC/D" this is the AC/DC hard rock band ?? ), like the history in Batman Begings when Bruce Wayne a normal person can be his symbol of bats, but here he is not a devil..
