I have a Mazda3 and I equipped it with HID lamps. The body of the projector is the same for the halogen version: lens, body and so on. I've got led lamps too for turn signals, brakes and so on. Yesterday the police halted me for inspection... They didn't even check projectors!

Well across the pond here in the US, I have a car which is available with or without HID (and headlight washers are not a requirement) the forward section of the Valeo Projector is THE SAME between Halogen and HID, the Lens, Body, Cutoff Shield is the same the difference is that the backside of the HID Projector takes a D1s and the Halogen takes a 9006. I added 9006 HID's to my projectors and I do NOT get "flashed" and the only thing I am dazzling is the road just like it should be.

Basic physics, you make the foreground brighter and the background appears darker. This is why simply aiming a headlight down with a incorrect beam pattern can be very dangerous.

law is a wrong.. HID is okay legal headlight.. many cops, polices, sheriffs has too many strobe flasher lights on their officer vehicles.. not fair.. NOT fair
