There is no problem with Jesus, it's just that what his 'father' wrote on the bible is a bit less tolerant (Lev18.22: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" = intolerance against gays).

That's why religion is dangerous: it's taught as being true without any argument. You cannot criticize it, which means no discussion, no understanding between people of different religion. And no understanding is a highway to violence. Religion is a useful tool for any smart guy to manipulated the uneducated crowd. And I think there are enough ambiguous texts in the Bible to justify a lot of crimes. That's why I reject Religion, not its contents (or worshippers) but how it is given to people.

"Men will always rip off that which is good." Yes Steve, men do so because of their fear of anything different and of the unknown, because of intolerance, because they think thay are 'right', because they do not wonder often enough if they're actually right or wrong. Men need to be skeptic, to use his own reason first, to be tolerant, to reject violence as long as possible, not to take what they've been taught for granted.

Hi Phil "Even if the Bible had only peaceful ideas in it (which is obviously false). Look at how men used their "faith" to justify so many atrocities" Phil, the teachings of Jesus which you have said are good these i encourage you to read again. Men will always rip off that which is good. Only on that day when mans feet will no longer tread this pain filled sod will there be true happiness. Man is the creator of all of his own pain. Basic humans rights are the only guidelines you need to create a set of laws. Alister Crowley said, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." meaning if what you seek to do harms no one, you should be left alone. A simple yet effect basis for a successful society to be founded on. Therefore, business religion is obsolete.

Religion sucks But why do you hate Your CREATER. Without religion I give you that there would be no moral ground for law , Without god there is no right or wrong. So how do you make law like don't kill if there is no moral bass . Instead you would have laws like Do it The bosses way or he kills you .
