you can right click on computer and select propertiees. then click advanced system settings. then click environmental variables. i think this is an easier way of doing it.

sytem properties advanced is an exe in the system 32 directory

to do it in vista you go to
c:/windows/system32
u than click on system properties advanced
than u put in the environment variable there. guaranteed to work we did it in class

Of course i can direct my self to javac in the cmd, but its really anoying when your writing bigger programs and always compiling.

I just started my java classes in school, I cant get the JDK to work with vista : I think it might be cause im using a dif version. I can set my invironment variables to the java folder not the javac, really weird. Has any one messed with the JDK on vista?
