great cd's yes :) hope you'll enjoy every piece of it. Stridepiano is something else too, it has to be jumpy but swinging at the same time too. Its hard to learn but if you can handle the pressure its all about fun !! :)

You're a boogie master, man! I just would like you could do some zoom-in (or put the camera at the very top in 90 degrees' view) for me to be able to learnin' something. :-)= By the way, I've just bought 2 new Little Brother's CDs: "1930-1936" (Document) and "No Special Rider" (Adelphi). Won-der-ful stuff!

Yeah I knew the start chord was F, I don't know it just looked to me from the left hand that it was Bb. F of course makes sense too. I having trouble getting the rythm of the right hand down, as well as a few of the notes. Maybe you should do a lesson video :P

Eeco I just have to say I can't get enough of this song! I love it. I might sit down and start trying to picking it out. In Bb?

I'm an ear player and never have been tought really formally (I do have taken few lessons as of late but me and my teacher both play by ear so ) so I can;t give you any advice on that really.

this is not the answer I was looking for - nevertheless: thanks for your effort. My question is: which method can be recommended to learn stride? when I know this I can start practicing. if you have an idea on that, this would be appreciated. thanks, Hans

All I can say is practice lol. I havn't really tried stride as such myself, mainly just ragtime, but the vamping bass is very similar, I tend to let it come as naturally as possible, similarly to Boogie where the left hand should be natural and second nature to the melody. Hope that helps! A good stretch can help also!
