my mac came with '08, so i'm ok with it. what i do is, i import the clip that i want into '06, and then add the effect that i want, then import it into '08. it's not the fastest way of doing things, but it gets the job done. (i was very disappointed when i got my mac to see that photo booth had more video effects than iMovie)

i have used imovie 08 before because my mac came with it. Unfortunately it is simple, so simple that many of the editing features that were in imovie hd were cut out, like the timeline and the audio and video fx's. But the good news is that on apple's website, imovie 08 users can download the last imovie. I did that and i am happier with ilife 08 now.

Hmm very intresting. I work @ a large retail store were we sell that HD camera by Panasonic, and I had alot of people returning that camera because it makes Imovie 08 and leopard crash..
