Well, actually, on a Bert Convy tribute website, I read a report from a news clipping which was released a few days after his death that the tragic news began around april or may of 1989 when he was visiting his mother in the hospital who was recovering from a stroke.

This had to be before since that didn't happen until 1990.

Super Password was cancelled in March of 1989 so it had to be after. This has to be while he was hosting The 3rd Degree.
