As noted earlier, PD수첩, was found to over-exaggerated the report. Since Koreans feared that they might be affected by the MCD, they began to panic. That's when left-wing political groups, or pro-north korea group (which ruled Korea for last 10 years, before new current government came in) began to "USE" and indirectly brainwash Koreans for their ambition to overthrow the gov and gain political power, while distracting Koreans from figuring out the truth by showing all the police brutalities.

I'm Korean and I can tell that this video is absolutely true and reliable! + I'm studying in Korea.
The president and the ruling party are tearing down democracy and all other values related to Human Rights and that is a very tragic thing. Actually, I lived abroad a couple of years and then came back to Korea 'cuz I thought that Korea was a prosperous and a democratic country but it seems that I was wrong.
I really suggest you to read some other stuff besides the conservative propaganda

I'm Korean. This video is not true.
Many people dislike the president because of the importing american beef. A tv program(PD수첩) made people protest like that.

Wow thats a lot of comments, first your cows are not tested any more than ours so your point is negligable. Unless that is you are protesting Korean beef as well?

before you complain koreans of not buying your beef, think about why many countries are taking same action.
To make more profit, u.s farms use all sorts of antibiotics and hormones and feed them meat(this is what caused BSE) to save money. Only 1-2% of downer cows are checked for BSE. And the current prez seems to be more focused on protecting industry and their profits, not the food safety.
don't worry about the loss in beef industry, it's recouped in other business areas.

And bse is not even fully explained yet, and is killing ppl in UK more. UK govt said it was no big deal, a decade more later people start dying. It's same disease found in US, can you guarantee ppl will be safe from it? Before you ask korea to open up, why don't you ask other countries to do so?
i.e. europe effectively bans almost all US beef by banning hormones and antibiotics in beef, japan gets only 20 or younger, mexico 24month.

US troops? haha your prez makes money by keeping tensions in korea and selling tons of weapons. And to keep influence against China and Russia. SK pays 50% of all fees as part of treaty too, not a big deal as they make it up by selling weapons. Oh, the treaty dont allow them to buy only US weapons, don't worry. Again, your US govt is not stupid nor doing any kind of favor. They don't do things w/o profit or as some sort of morals, you know. |
