Geotgermal energy can be used almost anywhere
(do not need gezer or vulcano) you just must drill deeper under ground.

With only the use of Geothermal energy we could power the entire world for 4000 years without having to burn any fossiles. And imagine what tidal, solar and wind energy can do.

Check out Enhanced Geothermal Systems. The concept suggests that geothermal energy can be harnessed in areas with no volcanic or seismic activity, which traditionally have been the only areas to produce the means of extracting geothermal energy.
