I agree. Perhaps it isn't the most appealing version, but it is certainly the diffinitive, and the best. But, to be fair, i like the song in all it's interpretations, and every person that covers it adds there own style and meaning emotionally to it, so, really, there is no "bad" version, per-say...

I think the only person who could do THE BEST version of this song, is the person who wrote the song and FULLY understood the TRUE meaning behind each word; (IS THE PERSON WHO WROTE THE SONG.)Therefore; bar-none...Leonard Cohen's version is the BEST...the man is a "bloody" poet.
