Top five jazz pianists all-time: Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck. Some might put Bill Evans and Bud Powell on this list rather than Jamal, Silver or Brubeck, but few would leave Oscar off.

double bassist's a tank. looks incredibly silly during his solo though. sorry, but it's true. he looks like an animated tree crossed with some kind of mischievious imp. Oscar is immense. if you want a real treat listen to his rendition of flight of the bumblebee. it's gloriously self-indulgent.

that parody is slightly amusing at best. I don't know how you could sit through the whole thing.

the stride section (which kicks off around the 7:00 mark) is mind-blowingly amazing... and i'm saying that as someone who's been playing for 20 years...
oscar peterson is terrifyingly good.

You all owe it to yourselves to see the parody:
"Oscar Peterson Shreds Tribute to StSanders and Oscar"
if you dont giggle at that...you are not human.

Nope, Oscar is probably my favorite pianist of all time,Thats why I checked this video out. I just think the other guys are bit over rated. That's all. They're obviously not horrible.
