TG Daily's Humphrey Cheung gets a demo of just how much abuse Toughbooks can take. This poor thing gets dropped, has water poured on it, is held over a fountain... Here's a link to the original article: http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/09... This is posted on behalf of Panasonic with TG Daily's permission. only a three foot drop? what happened to the commercial where they dropped it off of a two-story building?
NIGHTMAREuki (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
why didn't they let it go swimming?

Well, according to some other videos, it can stand being dropped, stomped on, doused with a full bottle of water, and even ran over by a car. Whether or not you want to test these for yourself is entirely at your discretion.

Yeah, EMP's will damage anything with electronic circuits to resistors to circuit boards.

The EMP thing 2008805 said, is not true.

Built to Military Specifications, these fully-rugged computers are able to withstand any extreme climate, including a very wide temperature range, and are able to be in contact with dust, water, and other materials that would otherwise affect the operation of the computer. Being fully-rugged machines, they should also be able to stand up to electric shock, and electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
