Bravo! Brilliant. He was 16.

Does anyone know how old he was when he performed this?
Few pianists can offer that kind of treatment to dynamics, and Kissin is definitely one of them. I especially love 3:00 onwards, you can hear the questions being asked.

Prokofiev told me he doesn't want to be a beethoven

And Beethoven will never be Prokofiev!

More like 5%! LOL!

"Prokofiev will never be Beethoven..."
There was I time when I thought the primacy of Beethoven could not be denied. That is, until recently, when for the first time I saw a likeness of the man -which I cannot but fervidly hope is widely inaccurate.
You see, it would appear the man had funny hair.

I heartily concur with all you've said Summelduple.
And yet, it cannot be denied that the lad has funny hair. This is an uncomfortable fact, to be sure, but it is incontrovertible.
Conversely, Alicia Keys -though I readily concede is not much of musician- is a lovely young woman, whose hair looks just fine.

It had flashed across my mind. ;-)
