"Anybody can say something dirty and get a laugh. But say something clean and get a laugh, that requires a comedian."
So true. The comedy in the Marx Brothers films - especially from Groucho - was always so clever and witty, you knew you were really watching something special before you. They don't make a lot of comedians like Groucho Marx anymore, which is a shame.

Except in this case, Grouchy had always been a grumpy old man. ;-)

Close minded are those who hate and use insults to prove that they are right. Open minded people use a smile and polite arguments to make a point. :)

He's talking about 'Oh Calcutta!'.

You're stating a personal opinion, I'm stating what I observe every night as a stand-up comedian. Things change. Old acts are replaced with new acts. What was once slang is now common vocabulary. A topic that was once taboo in the 40's, like sex is now WAY out in the open. There's nothing wrong with that. It's called evolution. Whether it's funny or not is just an opinion. Whether it's popular or not is a flat out statistic. By the way, his name is Bill COSBY.

I've seen him with Crosby he is as funny as he always was, same time as this. And he has a very valid point I feel.

I hate it when comedians take comedy too seriously. This is just another example of a comedic legend turning into an irrelevant, grumpy old man. The same thing happened to Cosby. The sense of humor these comedians once possessed turns into bitter closed mind as they watch comedy evolve without them. The only way comedy would stay the same is if society didn't change.
As sex becomes more and more acceptable in society, so will it in the arts, including comedy.
