Not to take anything away from her amazing playing, but this piece better with string accompaniment rather than piano.

not if you play viola :) we like wide vibrato! But in this slow context I don't feel that her vibrato is too wide for violin.

yeah since you a musician I trust you. I trust that a child prodigy praised by the greatest musicians of all time, who studied under dorothy delay at Juilliard and under numerous other people, who played with the worlds greatest orchestras, and has recieved many awards sucks. and I believed this because you are an informed musician that is probably better than her and can tell that she is bad. Thanks Rapidincline, don't know where I would be without you, you stupid idiot kid.

Well said.

At that intensity, yeah, I don't think you can keep your violin steady. She's tugging on it. This piece really demands control (keep in mind also that this is Bach), and I don't think one should strain themselves beyond their physical capability just to get a few more cents out of their vibrato. It's already nearly a semitone wide. It might seem more emotional that way at first, but after a while it becomes apparent that it's really just blunt. Might as well call it a trill.

it's almost impossible to do vibrato without having the violin shake, and she has very good bow control. if she played any slower this song would drag.

she's INCREDIBLE
