Unfortunately for ELKA factory synthex project was a total FLOP..The commercial elka synthex synthesizer was a recutting of a major Mario Maggi synthex project...but the sound of curtis 3320 combined BPF, LPF and HPF is amazing...just need a good impletemented MIDI interface (only in the 3rd version there are MIDI basic ON/OFF interface) and this synth well buyed..

The laser harp was also working back in 1990 at the Paris La Defense concert by Jarre as the harp kept malfunctioning during the intro to 'Calypso PtII'

Designed by Mario Maggi, it was produced between 1981 and 1985 by the Elka company of Italy. A company more noted for its organs, this would be its first and last foray into music synthesizers under that name.

Paul Wiffen invented the piano back in 1701. He then went on to program the world's very first sliced loaf in 1899. He then wrote the first 3 series' of Rainbow and provided the voice of Zippy. More recently he and good friend Nelson Mandela are can be found on the north Lincolnshire after dinner circuit, where they recently unveiled the new synth they built together, called the Harpsichord. |
