Of course he has an Irish accent. Don't let the bad boy attitude fool you, he grew up in a very upper class part of Dublin and went to one of the best and most expensive colleges so he should be intelligent!

He comes off as intelligent and thoughtful, more than I would have thought. I think there was a big backlash to his instant popularity, but I've always liked his work, and In Bruges was amazing.
