Gillian has maybe a better voice at all, but I do far prefer the Neely version for sure. No way. It feels the real drama in every accent. Gillian is a pretty good performer and of course nothing to do with what he had been able to give life to, later with the Purples, but for JCSS Neely is the man. No way, again.

Ted Neely can't hold Ian's jock. Ian was the original choice of Rice and Webber to play the role. He just wanted too much money, and then enter Ted... Ted's O.K. but he ain't Ian. Just compare their vocals in the money-lender's scene...
