Looks like Facebook has introduced profiles for organizations. So far, it's free and extends a lot of the same features that I came to love in the individual profiles. Superb!
File under "Customer Care" FB: Give people the head's up. This is an intriguing development you could/should have shared at the time you deleted our profile.
And now, we play!!!
Take care, y'all!

I feel your pain - we had a profile for our campus bookstore, which is very much an entity with personality to our students, and got shut down by Facebook. (Our group still exists, but it doesn't have the same sense of fun as a personal account)

Hi Julie... this happened to me as well last summer. I started the CPA group and they stopped me dead in my tracks. I have since learned more about Facebook and have several groups all doing rather well. Keep me updated ok.. Donna Allard CPA president

Well done, Jules. Sock it to 'em.

I agree. The Anansi profile made the Press seem fun and accessible. You make a very good point Julie, there should be a way for readers to interact with a company other than the complaints department. Thanks for breathing life into Anansi's online presence.

That IS an awesome Jodie Foster imitation.

Well said!
I suspect there'll be corporate profiles within the next 18 months. Makes a lot of sense.

agreed... community is much wider than their narrow definitions... makes me wonder if those "FB is run by the CIA" rumours are true... hmmmm.
thank you for this, Julie.
