oasis has nothing, absolutely NOTHING on the stone roses. sure they were bigger than the roses were, but with songs like this, it really is hard to compete.

the fact that he can't sing surely makes them even greater...what other band could have pulled it off? yes, the concert as a whole was hit and miss, but the finale is immense...why would you wanna pish and moan on about the rest of the concert when the last 10 minutes are that good?

hey superdrugs, I think you're missing the point m8. The very fact that the stones didn't conform to the bullshit music at the time, meant they had their own style and didn't have to prove to anyone that they could sing. I went to see the Eagles and remember coming away so disappointed that they sounded just like the recordings. Live should mean live. Not trying to sound like your recordings.

Everyone is being too kind. I love the Stone Roses, but I've seen this entire concert and there are only a few fleeting moments when Ian actually sings in key. Definitely not one of the finest moments in musical history.
