Believe it or not some people aren't changed by fame. Even if their Grandson is well paid, his Grandparents may be refusing monetary help to probably show Tony that money should not influence him in becoming what he's not. They're happy that he's reached his goal and that makes them happy. A lesson that only family that truly cares about you can only teach.
