Hey. Technically the tank can still be put into use so long as it passed hydrostatic and visual testing. Unpainted eh? Somehow I doubt it'll pass..but it might. However there is an issue with tanks prior to '89 that could be made out of an alloy that has seemingly randomly exploded despite passing regular testing.

Well that's not always the case. I have a tank from 66 and it passed hydo and vis. Also if you didn't pay for it, then it might be worth the $40(or whatever they charge near you .) If it passes then you don't need to spend several hundred $ on a new tank.
