This woman looks like Ann Wilson. If you look at a young Ann and a young linda they look a lot alike.

It took a long time to happen upon it, but her 'Down So Low' video is Linda Ronstadt's best.

THIS VERSION OF THIS SONG IS GREAT!!...I dont really get why everyone is knocking the backup band!!...It sounds pretty awesome to me and makes for another cool way of putting this "NOW CLASSIC" tune out!...nice clip!!

Mike Nesmith was NOT the only Monkee that was a musician. PETER TORK was a world-class musician who was actually better than Nesmith at bass, piano, and guitar. Tork also wrote songs, as did Micky Dolenz. Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones were BOTH world-class singers. Finally, Dolenz learned to play drums so well that in their third album ever (Headquarters) The Monkees played ALL of their own instruments (including Dolenz on drums). The notion that The Monkees were not real musicians is a MYTH

I believe it was the guy doing the audio who messed up their sound. It sounds like he did not mike-up all the instruments. Eventually Linda toured with a back-up band that became the Eagles, pretty much after she recorded Desperado, written by a band member.

Actually It was Mike Nesmith (spelling??)The only Monkee who was actually a musician. He tried to distance himself from the band and still does...especially when it was revealed that the other monkees were faking during concerts. Neil Diamond also wrote for the monkees

The Monkees wrote this song.

Classic pop sound, Linda is extremely talented. I wonder? How many top 40 hits did some of these other folks: write, produce perform??

nah they're pretty damn awful. don't get me wrong the studio recording with the stone pony's is great, but here it seems like none of them can play in time and linda has to carry most of the weight of the band. |
