If it did, where is the rest of his team? Was he alone in there?

How do you know his Pack didn't malfunction? Any number of things could have happened in there to cause that.

Don't worry, I've seen enough - the fire and the smoke. Exactly busines or not, it's on of the basic rules that you must be out of the fire, when you run out of air. It's a basic rule too, that you mustn't be alone in there. This rules are the first thing that a swiss firefighter has to learn, cause ou job is not predictable.

I'm a firefighter too. I hope that things don't go south on *you* someday when you're "working safe" and you don't wind up in the same position. We're not exactly in a business that is always predictable. Seeing a firefigher criticize another without all the facts is pretty disappointing.

But if anyone has to leave the Building like that, he made a big mistake! It seems that the firefighter in the building din't have any more air to breathe, so he had to take off his equiptment. This would not happen if you work safe. And yes, I'm a firefighter and I know what i talk about.

he was sporting a scott 4.5, these were not equipped with the high pressure hose that the old 2.2 were fitted with. this technique was impossible for him, he should have gone with filtered breathing.

CPU Quarterback wish i thought of that one XD lol

no...leave the mask on and take the hose from the mask going to the BA and stuff it down your bunker coat. the way we are trained is if someone runs out or needs to leave immediately, everyone goes.

I'd like to see one, just one, of these CPU quarterbacks go through one, just one, live fire with full PPE and SCBA. I guarantee that would shut them up. Well, maybe not, but you all need to feel blinded and disoriented (in regards to both space and time. And while we're at it, explain how Kant justifies saying that space and time are intuitions, not concepts, while you're trying to drag a rescue dummy through a wall) and out of air in a hot poisonous confined space and STFU.

OK so he ran out of air. That sucks maybe should have gotten out sooner when his bell started going off. Take the pack off or leave it on makes no differnce. Take your gloves and helmet off while escaping HEAD FIRST from an above floor? WTF?!
