***IMPORTANT NOTE: To see subtitles, you need to turn the captions "on" by clicking on the arrow button at the bottom right of the screen, then hover over the CC symbol and turn the captions "on". Thanks.*** This video, originally titled "Culture en Péril (Version Longue)", was created by a few Québec artists to denounce the cuts in cultural funding by the Conservative governement, led by Stephen Harper. This extended version of the original includes english subtitles. When Beau Dommage's Michel Rivard visits a newly formed governmental committee overseeing cultural financing, language gaps and cultural misunderstandings abounds, mostly when Rivard plays his classical song, "La Complainte du Phoque en Alaska" (The Complaint of the Seal in Alaska)... ***I received a message about this video from the original creators, so I assume it's accepted that my subtitled version doesn't interfere with their intellectual property.*** http://tupperfan.blogspot.com

Besides, I don't think little of anglos in Québec. I just think they are everything but oppressed. Cheers :)

Your original claim was that more people leave Québec than more people come to Québec, which was wrong. When it comes to the interpreters, I searched and didn't find anything. If it is that easy to find, you could give me a hand here. I assume you simply just can't back it up.
Vineon (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
That is not true and is simply proven by our population growth. The ONLY negative migration rate in Québec comes from interprovincial movements. Overall, way more people come in Québec than people leave it. This graph indicates migration patterns in Québec in 2007, you can look past years if you want as well. tableaudebordmontreal . com / indicateurs / mouvement / mouvementspersonnes / migrationsquebec . en . html (remove the spaces)

You obviously haven't searched very hard, which only goes to show just how little you think of anglos in Quebec. Every year for the past 35, Quebec has had a negative migration rate - which means more people leave Quebec for other provinces than come in. Am I going to fast for you?
