Forerunner to the Tesla Roadster. Viper = 510 hp, 3380 lb, tzero = 225 hp, 1970 lb, Viper = 0-60: 3.9sec tzero = 0-60: 3.6sec Viper = 326hp/ton tzero = 250hp/ton Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $2.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms. Dodge Viper V10 500 hp Vs Tzero EV Electric car. What 2 adults and what luggage are you referring to? Throw in the kitchen sink and some golf clubs while you're at it. If you want to level playing field then we'd need to up the HP in the EV from 220hp to 500hp, just to be fair!

So how quick is it when you ad all the safety equipment the Viper has,(crash absorbing bumpers,airbags,abs.etc.),along with all the power amenities,(pw,pdl, six speaker stereo, etc.)a spare tire jack, two full grown adults enough luggage for the weekend?

Well at 2.7p per mile, and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, it is kinda tempting :) I love that electric car makers have woken up to the fact no one will like them until they out perform the best of petrol... Just looking into the stats, there's no way petrol can keep up with what's coming... no physical gearbox (wheel drive), 96% efficient motors, massive torque from start... full charge in 10 mins (British Lightning tech) it's the end for petrol within 10 years I reckon...

Read the specs again! This EV does 0-60 in 3.6sec. The Atom with the same EV drive train does 3.07. And they're both only 220hp yet blow off 600hp road car with ease. I'd prefer to see a 600hp EV go against a 600hp ICE... that's fair isn't it?? LOL

the evo 10 fq400 0-60 is 3.9 secs and would eat this hairdryer and that viper. Put it against a ZR-1 of the upcomming GTR V-spec. Look how slow they are going at the end.
