Do you think that the scripture means using God's name with a curse word or to say you believe in God and then think of Him as irrelevant to your life? I think it is not taking God for granted as if He was not important...that is taking God's name in vain.Even though saying GD probably isn't a good idea! Why would telling God to Damn something to be a sin??I think "vain" means saying that God said something when He really didn't. Like saying, "God is going to kill me if you don't send money".

Okay guys, think about it, in the Bible Jesus talks more about gossipping then He does homosexuality! We look at someone who is homosexual, and say "Man! He's going straight to Hell!" but when we hear someone spreading gossip, we laugh and go along with it. Don't we? Think about it! No is no difference in premarital sex and homosexuality...both are abominations. But all can be forgiven if they repent and not sin anymore. Cursing? I agree with nehamiah810 it's wrong to commit the sin homosexuals do, but at the sametime, I believe it's no worse than saying a curse word, or having sex before getting married.
