That doctor sounded clueless. His Pneumonia probably was related to sarcoidosis or the immune suppressing drugs that treat it.
Also, Sarcoid is not just a lung disease even though some uninformed doctors think it is and only order chest x-rays.
It can actually effect the skin,bones,eyes ,brain,kidneys and any other organ. It can be a rather horrible disease that is dismissed as minor.

Its amazing how people even in times like this where it is apparent that we're all just HUMANS awaiting our inevitable ends that some are still heartless. Im a black female and this is really depressing to see how many people hide behind a screen name and use this time of mourning and time to reflect on what he contributed to society to vent their racist viewpoints.

Dr. Ashton....idiot. Even though the missed Bernie went into remission before...affected his lungs. Dr. Ashton...idiot...called a predisposition....I don't know the cause of death in certainty, but comments made...she is clueless. Also...remember Dr. Ashton the heart and lungs are a team...why did they have you comment anyway?you said "it is NOT RELATED to the pneumonia"....wtf?
