1.-Apple bought it from Xerox AND hired some of their developers who were tired of thinking of great ideas that were forgotten and never implemented...
2.- Mac OS X is NOT based on Linux, anyone who is into computer can tell you that... Check your fact dude!

Apple did NOT buy the gui from Xerox!
Xerox had funded new companies for ideas, in hopes to get some royalties from their investments.
Apple hired xerox programmers then produced their gui surprising, 3 years later that was based from Xerox.
Xerox got some small royalties and finally got pissed off enough because they were getting side money from something that came from Xerox. A lawsuit followed!
Now OSX is based on Linux, and they are claiming innovation?! PULEASE not again!

i HAVE i gb of ram and when i do the water effect my computer stops and i have to shut it down because nothing works

Yes mac have the screen Switcher but this Rocks with that Matrix Background and code animated, well im going to test Ubuntu.
