The other announcer was Lee Vines. He was the announcer on "The Name's The Same" before doing Password.

Great upload--do you have the rest of this episode? Also, in regard to a previous comment I submitted, I was saying there was another theme song used on "Password," before the more well-known one heard in this video. And neither Clark nor the substitute announcer here sound like that other announcer to whom I referred in my previous comment. I would like to find out who that announcer was, whether he ever worked on other game shows?

There were two announcers in the black white, CBS run of "Password." One had a younger-sounding voice, the other, presumably, was Clark. Also, there were two "Password" theme songs used in the CBS run--the more familiar one that was used the longest up until the show was canceled by CBS, but also one before that. By the way--does anyone out there know if Dr. Reason A. Goodwin of World Book Encyclopedia, the show's judge, was ever seen on camera?

Yes, he was the announcer on Wheel of Fortune, after Charlie O'Donnell's first time around, up until his death in 1989.

I agree. Jack was very solid hosting on "The Cross-Wits" in the 1970s as well. God rest his classy, gentlemanly soul.

Jack is a very entertaining host in this. It's too bad we didn't see more of him hosting.
