Also forgot PowerPCs are used in the F-35,Subs,UAVs,satellites,just about every recent space probe and most new spacecraft.

I liked OF better then EFI it was more hackable. I also miss the battery life G3 imacs had. BTW PPC is not dead by a long shot it's in consoles ,about 50% of all cars sold today, and the fastest super computers in the world. Not sure Apple made a smart move since now you can make you own Macintosh from PC parts and IBM ended up making PPCs that are much faster then any X86 a year later. Plus the E600 and the PA Semi processors could have solved the power issue for 64bit PPC in Mac laptops.

Gone is the Power PC, Gone is the Fun Days of colorful machines, and gone too is the separation of mac and PC. Now the only thing separating the PC and the mac (both having Intel inside) is the EFI, which sadly can be emulated quite easily. So, we have to ask ourselves, is Mac unique, or... is it just a pretty box? After all with boot camp you can run XP and vista on these without any patches. So did apple make the right move? Or is it just the tragic fate of the inevitable collapse of Apple?

I did cry. XD

Thats kind of ironic, isn't it. The fact that Apple uses Intel now and Microsoft has a PowerPC chip in the XBox360... LOL
JSEProduction (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
PowerPC aint dead.Xbox360 has a PowerPC processor for example.

I think its rather obvious the title is in relation to Apple's commitment to the PowerPC. I'm guessing that *after* watching the video though. Throwing stones in a glass house?
