I'm not trying to be disrespect here. I can still remember how tastily the manager of Palmerston Nth City Library reacted my words. I was extemporizing that time, and he came across and politely asked me to perform the piano for Palmy mayor's visitation to the library. I said, unfortunately I'm gonna cross the Tasman tomorrow. Guess what? He said with exaggerated and confusing facial expression to me: Why do you want to go to that F* country? I said, I'm going for postgraduate studies.

Oh, I really have to mention that Wellington has been the most cleanest city I have ever seen before. I love its purely blue sky and cloud, even when it comes to rain and gale, I won't be bothered. :)

Sydney, mmm... Maybe I have a bit unilateral bias towards it and plus that I've spend nearly 6 years in NZ for studies and living, I miss there. About Sydney, however, it's just kind of lack of "the milk of human kindness" or something here. Some people could be a bit discourteous. Some areas are mussy and way toooooo "multicultural".

Somehow, I don't why. I do more love New Zealand than Sydney (please pay attention to my word, not entire Australia). Although my nationality is China, I have always considered NZ is my second home and I haven't found anything better which Sydney has over any places around NZ. New Zealand is a heavenly beautiful country and with nice and simplehearted lovely people.

I find people who live where they live don't see the other side more often than not which , Auckland is beutiful, what do you like and what can i get and not get then you can start to see the wonders of what there is, i mean i like history, nature, adventure, culture etc and sniff like a dog or a journalist and find rather than waiting for it to never come to me then find time to relax with the people. Akaroa was my last fave place to vist and i'm not old or a kid, I just appreciate.

all cities are the same in the end but alot of people find their home including me here but people can come and go, woolongong beaches seem alrite, big and white, i wish we had more of that but, i like greenery but we can all use a change of scenery once and awhile, seems the riches of your soil have poisened the goodiness about your place ockers but all i hear is 'im moving to melbz', find ya place i rex.

No way, I disagree. I have lived in Sydney for nearly four years have had enough. I am planning my move back to Wellington. Sydney is polluted, crowded miserable. It has a bridge some nice beaches, the rest is shite. Whats worse the people are miserable, image-conscious pricks. You can have it. NZ is the best, it's where my spirit feels happy free. In the years to come as things get worse, I would rather be in green NZ than a big desert with some nice beaches polluted by coal.

Talented technically and catches the atmosphere completely

sahabah2008, what's so great about Sydney? There's a bridge and an opera house, and then you take two steps away and it's a big, sprawling, messy, concrete city with no heart. I am an Australian, and the only Australian cities I can think of that are beautiful are Canberra and Hobart. I am planning on moving to Wellington soon because there is so little about Australia that appeals to me.
