I couldn't agree more. Iggy Pop's version is more heartfelt. In this live version I miss the keyboards. But it's still awesome. Thanks for posting this.

This is an Iggy song and like Lou Reed has had the template of his originality stolen by the usual suspects. The musicians on The Idiot, Gardner, Sales bros, Bowie are the music but the words are Jimmy's. The TV Eye live version is a stunner. It's only Jim's modesty that he doesn't hark on about this track.

Iggy's studio version on "The Idiot" is great. Heartbreaking, depressing, just like the song should be. Bowie's version is amazing, but I feel Iggy's is superior.
