You can use any midi controller to drive rapture. I use the Roland GI-20 for that.

i have a midi guitar and use a digidesign mbox 2 for the input to protools could i run rapture through protools and use the sythns off that instead of using a standard midi keyboard. i want to start using my guitar for live situations and posibly use the sythns i have created using rapture.

Hi Cakewalk, I just tried out the old verion of rapture and it sounds amazing! Gotta check out this update. I made some killer trance sounds on that synth :) If I change my mind about a virus c, this will be the first softsynth that I will buy!

thanks for your post!

you can load wave files but it's not a softsampler. It's a soft synth. it's just a very phat sounding wavetable synth. When you load a wave file it only plays the first cycle or so and not the entire file.

I love Cakewalk programs. Cakewalk Pro Audio
and Sonor (too bad that I haven´t got Sonor).
The reason, why I haven´t got it is that it´s bit pricey... well, in fact, everything is pricey, when you haven´t got enough money for that. Tested thing.

my bad, i meant: is rapture a softsampler,
not softsynth.

hello, so is rapture a softsynth, so you
can load wav files, etc.. by the way,
who wants to debate cool softsynths? kontakt, sampletank, structure, esx24, machfive? what say you? this rapture and
dimension pro stuff from cakewalk is very
cool. |
