you can be 17 but my brother enlisted in the marines and i got a hands on talk with an actual recruiter, its very unlikely them taking you in with a G.E.D ...you have a much better chance with a diploma. But never give up ..if u ant it bad enough then it can be achieved. im on my way in a year when i turn 17. "never let what you cant do interfere with what you can do." OoO-RAH!

I enlisted when i was 17 i leave in june

You can be 17 but you have to graduate high school or have a G.E.D. If you're 17 you have to have parental consent to join.

yes you can join when your still in high school as long as you are 17 and qualified to do so, I just enlisted and i ship in july good luck to all who answer th call to duty oorah ans semper fi
