How to replace the screen on a Palm Treo 650 pda/phone. Doing it yourself will save about $100. Screens are available on E-Bay! (NOTE!! The desk this was performed on has a metal base, not top. This fact, combined with me wearing shorts during the filming, means I was grounded. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GROUNDED before opening your Treo. ESD straps are CHEAP and available at any Radio Shack or electronics dealer worth more then 2 pence)

Yes!!! I had the same problem. Soteriologist is a genius!!! My LCD ribbon cable had two parallel white lines labeled H and M. I wasn't inserting the cable deeply enough into the socket, leaving both white lines showing. I pressed the ribbon cable about a millimeter further into the socket, leaving only one white line and the M showing after the brown clip is closed. It powered on with no further issues. Now, I may actually replace my scratched up screen. Thanks Soteriologist!!!
