In the course of gathering material for his upcoming documentary on Abu Ghraib, Academy Award-winning director Errol Morris conducted over 200 hours of interviews with key figures. Col. Janis Karpinski, at the time of Abu Ghraib a Brigadeier General, was the commander of the prison and later in charge of Saddam Hussein once he was captured. Of course, the vast majority of material can't make the cut and this scene, while compelling, wasn't in the film when Errol Morris presented it at the 2007 New Yorker Festival. Full-length interview with Errol Morris and Philip Gourevitch, which this clip is excerpted from: http://www.newyorker.com/onlin...

Very true I agree 110% but... Bush is only one man he is only the puppet, the mouth piece of the USA... the USA as a country should be done for war crimes for atrocities past and present! These bullies and ego maniacs blunder there laborious ways across the globe desperate for oil... The faking of the attack on there own country with the 9 /11 events, the evidence is there... No nukes no high-tech weaponry No osama bin laden U.S have tried it with Russia with there oil... big mistake!

Abu Ghraib, Gitmo and the Bush administrations policy of torture is, by far, THE biggest moral outrage ever, EVER, committed in United States history. Addington, Yoo, Bybee, Gonzalez, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush, MUST all be tried as war criminals. As Ashcroft commented: "History will not judge this kindly." History is now. Imprison these scumbags.

wow. that was just fascinating about the eyeglasses story... and how accomodating small requests like that built trust. Nonetheless, I didn't understand the full context of this... And who was she referring to" our interrogators? PsyOps pros? I realize these are outtakes. Still, I am confused, but intrigued about this documentary, now coming out.

I don't think that's true with what she said "If the pentagon would have known they would have never allowed it" if the pentagon doesn't want something plastered all over the news then it's not hard for them to stop it. Of course they wanted more women joining the military, for Pete's sake they're recruiting illegal immigrants now with the promise of citizenship. Anyways, the trailer looks great and I can't wait to see it. Have you seen Taxi to the Dark Side? It's on my channel if your interestd
