Townshend has said that the Who's first hit "I Can't Explain" was an imitation of "You Really Got me"....so I'd say Townshend found Dave Davies impressive.

I like Pink Floyd, the Doors and Jimi Hendrix too. For me, is all the best.

The reason The Who, The Stones, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are among (if not the) greatest bands of all time is that you can't compare them to anyone. They stand alone, seperate from even eachother
