im not comparing a desktop to a laptop...

Man, look at the date this video was added, this was top of the line back then and are still one of the best laptops on the market. Why even compare a desktop to a laptop in performance? And the gateway, sure, you save some money, but that is now...

You can't just do a price=performance, price=performance + support is better. I'ld say, a 3ghz + extra 8800 + 5 years warranty is worth $1000 more.
If my 1730 fries right now, I'll have a new one tomorrow, for no extra cost.

im talking about price=performance ratio to get two 8800s its 1000 and its not worth it yes its better but it costs way more is what im saying
GBUKMilo (September 1, 2008 at 8:02 am)
The 9800m is a good GPU, but the gateways has only one, the 1730 has two 8800's, the 8800 and the 9800 isn't much between them. Also the fact that the Dell has built in over clocking in the BIOS which is warrenty supported, pushing the CPU to over 3ghz. Thirdly you'll be buying you Gateway through a retailer. Try getting them to visit your home for free.
The gateway looks like a nice budget gamer, but not in the same league.

well im comparing this to a gateway and compared to that for price=performance its way overpriced... gateway fx 7811 has 4gb ram 9800m gt a processor with 2.26 ghs dual core and its 1,400 american

Sorry I deleted you message, but to be honest, your just a troll, and talking crap.
Checkout the alienware versions. More expensive, and less warrenty. |
