Speakers: AnnaLee Saxenian, Dean, School of Information and Professor, City and Regional Planning, University of California, Berkeley. Steven Weber, Director, Institute of International Studies and Professor, Political Science The mobility of skilled labor is transforming the flow of knowledge around the world. As U.S.-educated engineers and professionals return to their home countries, they are turning what once was a brain drain into a two-way process of brain circulation. These professionals are transferring to developing regions the technology and managerial know-how that once resided exclusively in advanced economies like the U.S. This process is fueling the emergence of new centers of technology entrepreneurship and creating new competitors for Silicon Valley and foreshadows persistent global skill shortages in coming decades. Discover Cal Lecture, University of California, Berkeley.

Why not get "AMERICANS" engaged? We are worried about out sourcing jobs. Now we in sourcing too? Should I hope for employment in a foreign country? Maybe when hell freezes over. Anxiety? I get anxiety competing with someone in a different city! I have no chance competing with someone who has a top-notch education, speaks three languages, and I am trained in literature. BS LIT 101 "Scarlet Letter" "How to kill a Mocking bird" "Moby Dick"? What a joke.

Ya that's fine to take your business some where else but all people should have an equal opportunity to the tools that start businesses. Education from Berkeley, a sense of what the GLOBE is like further from 15 mile radius people usually can't leave and, low interest rate loans would be a nice. start.

It was so interesting what he was saying about the class thing. The moving foot was a bit distracting.
