it depends, because acer aspire one uses a certain type of linux based os. But acer has a new laptop, a similar mini one that runs windows XP if that would be any intrest to you, if it is, you should look it up.

Ummm... Battery life isn't that important, as i will be plugged into the mains most of the time. I would just like to no which system you would recommend? Thanks

battery life is important at collage?
If yes, you need Acer with 6 cell battery or Eee 901
Or this Eee 900 and then buy a 3rd party 6 cell battery..

Guy's... a bit of advice please... I want a small Mini Laptop for College this year to use every day. But i don't know whether to get this but with a 20Gb SSD or do i get the base model ACER ASPIRE ONE. Thanks for your help... Ryan xxx
