Senator McCain, President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years. Maybe 100. That would be fine with me. 100 years in Iraq President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq 50 years... 5 years $500 Billion Spent over 4,000 dead Maybe 100. If all he offers is more of the same...is John McCain the right choice for America's future? Is John McCain the Right Choice for America's Future?

Yes, I know, but there are enough fools who are actually bent on this terrible set up. EVERYONE running for president hated/hates war: all the candidates from the start said that. But if we can't avoid a war, and we have an enemy who wants to kill us, we need to get the job DONE. It might take 100 years, it might not, but I would rather live safetly rather than in fear of the enemy striking at us.

Typical liberal mentality. Is there a single liberal who knows what was actually said at that meeting? Is there one who cares? How can they be so dumb? There are so many other issues to talk about but these idiots focus on a distortion? Anyone who says that McCain wants a 100 year war is a lemming.

Um... okay then, what on Earth does that have to do with anything?

Since Congress is still a relatively half anf half split, with many members being in the middle of the political spectrum, it is indeed hard to get stuff done. The Democratic party did betray us, and they have not fullfilled any of the promises they made to us. And with Senators like Obama who hardly take a stand on issues, and choose to not even vote in half the Senate bill votes, no wonder nothing is accomplished.

It's been 2 years now that Democrats took control of Congress. Remember all the promises? Getting us out of Iraq. Taking Bush to task/Impeachment. Nothing significant seems to have changed. Now they are going to pass this FISA warrantless spying Bill. It's like they still let Bush do whatever he wants. Can someone explain this to me PLEASE?

... Government intervention won't work. It never has worked, and I doubt it ever will work. Government controls Amtrak, and it actually loses more money when it has more customers. We are a capitalist society; if you want the goverment to be in your business all the time, move to Europe or China or somewhere. Cause this is America, and we are FREE.
