The cheetah is the fastest land mammal alive and can reach speeds up to 70 (sometimes even 77) miles per hour. They are very good hunter with a 50-percent success rate but tend to lose their kill to leopars, hyenas and leons.
Today, most cheetahs are confined within Africa, but their habitat used to be a lot larger.
