To Waltandrus-You are correct. Bill manufactured the "Doc Severinsen" mouthpiece which all the muscicans used including Maynard Ferguson. I worked for Bill and Mille Ratzenberger for 13 years at the Continental and heard the world's greatest musicians. Bill knew Maynard from Jim and Andy's Club in NYC where any musician who was anybody hung out including Judy Holiday. Bill's mouthpiece was called the "Jet-Tone Musical Mouthpiece" which Doc indorsed in the 60s. HIs factory was in Farifield.
