"Turn the Page" is a song written and recorded by Bob Seger. The song was originally released by Seger in 1973 on his Back in '72 album. Seger's original version never made the charts, but an evocative live performance on his 1976 Live Bullet album became a mainstay of album-oriented rock radio stations, and still gets significant airplay to this day on classic rock stations.

Both versions are great. I have never heard Waylon's version, but the original song that Waylon Jennings sang was still written by Bob Seger, so he is credited with the writing. It doesn't matter, it's a great song and even though it's a cover it's one of my all time favorite Metallica songs.

why do we always compare and make claims as to who is better? seger and metallica kick ass on this song. they should do it together, now that would kick ass. part kirk guitar and part sax then both at the same time. damn this is a good tune. but did any of you music critics know that this is actually a waylon jennings song? damn didn't see that coming huh?

I just watched Bob Seger's version... and I liked it, but I think that Metallica did a beautiful cover!!! No one can ever top any original. Though I love this cover!!! The electric guitar actually gives this one more energy and spirit! GO METALLICA!

i love the way he says riding, like he changes his voice, and metallicas version is good cus they use electric guitar istead of bob seger who uses saxophone

Metallica...awesome band most of the time. I like this one better than Segers but its kind of apples and oranges. Anyone who hasn't listened to Master of Puppets album please check it out...I grew up on it still my favourite Metallica album.
