Check out our blog at: http://www.jon4lakers.com This is the new MacBook Pro. It has the New Santa Rosa Processor at 2.4 GHZ, 2GB RAM, 160 GB HD, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT w. 256 megs Video RAM. This is my first video and 1st Mac so be kind! I'll be posting reviews throughout the week. Please ask me any questions you may have. Also to clarify, If they had asked for verification of student enrollment I could have provided it, I just don't have my graduate school ID yet. I probably should have clarified. I do NOT condone trying to rip apple off...

I think if you check ebay you can get the adapter, another chipset that works is Ralink, usually under a company called alpha networks, hawking, and edimax, they are all usb adapters, there is a netgear wg111 version 2 USB adapter out there that has a ralink chipset. either way those costs on ebay like $12-$30 tops.

Ahh! Now if you need a wireless card, Atheros is a excellent choice, actually you should not have trouble getting ubuntu to work with a atheros chipset because it works out of the box, I have a Senao EXT2 Prism PC card, and a WG511T netgear with atheros chipset, both work perfect, since your mac only has an express slot 34 I think, you can buy a express card adapter for like $60 and stick a regular PCMCIA card, alot of new laptops don't use PC slow anymore, it sucks! another option is a USB.

yes i installed Ubuntu on my MacBook and it was great. I removed it though as the wifi drivers required re-configuring each time the kernel was updated, so i thought it was too much hassle as i only used it occasionally. I like Debian and Fedora as well. But they need to make the Atheros wireless chipset drivers available to Ubuntu.

Yeah, you tube needs to update the comments in the correct columns asap, Like I was stating, UBUNTU is not bad Idea if you are just starting out, don't listen to what anyone else says, if you do buy a mac or a thinkpad, stick UBUNTU, very USER friendly and very easy to install, you can run the CD while running XP itself and install it from there! no need to partition manually. Just look up the cool effects it has better than vista and it's way faster!

yh it did looking at it as my comment is right on top of yours - though I clicked reply to comment on Nadeem97. If Nadeem97 is still reading these comments - if I want to install Linux on a MBP, that's my choice. If you can't use it, either grow a pair and learn it or piss off back to trolling elsewhere.

Apology accepted, I take back what I said, but it clearly wasn't my fault because it looked like it was directed toward me and it seemed like other users picked it up as well :/

i wasn't insulting you!!! I replied to Nadeem97's comment for saying linux is shit! my bad.

Wow that other guy is fucking retarded, why would you want to run windows games with wine under Linux? Wine is good to run office or other apps that you can't run under Linux, some apps work, some don't, it wasn't meant for fucking games. Defcon clearly made a point, Linux isn't for games, or kiddie gamers. Stick to windows or buy a MBP and use bootcamp to run XP natively to run games you retard.
