http://e85carbs.com/ 702 hp blown 383 on E85 i converted a 5 hp briggs and stratton engine to run on E85. E85 is 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. its octane rating is 105 conmared to that of unleaded galoline at 87. E85 also cools the incomming air down about 20 degrees which makes the air denser. this makes more horse power. the increased octane rating allows for advanced ignition timing and a high compression ratio of 12:1. that makes more horse power. to convert the carburetor to E85, you must first have the right kind of carb. the older style carbs that have the carb mounted to the gas tank are the kind that are easy ot convert. to drill out the holes, use hobby drill bits because they are extreamly small. if any of you have any questions or comments, fell free to post them.

If there is one engine that can take advantage of e85 high octane, its aircraft piston engines, and a 4 cylinder can run ya about 8-10 grand for 120 hp...And the only way to fix the milage problem is to make the engine smaller and have a bigger compression ratio.....Or, just switch to biodiesel and forget about converting carbs, or trying to figure out how to make it more fuel efficent....And as far as HHO gens go...Look up Stan Meyer... 27 gallons of water to go from Los Angles to New York.!!!

1) you mean 4 stroke 2) who cares about warnties because my car doesn't have one 3) no one gives a damn about a warrnty on a small engien. 4) how will you see in incress of mpg with a hho generator that is only about 75% efficent. that energy has to come from someware. 5) the millage can be fixed if e85 is used in an engine that takes atvantage of its very high octane rating.

i'm much more interested in the horse power gains possible with it. it also smells good before its burnt and after.

Please understand that if you are doing this to be eco friendly, you are only making things worse. Ethanol decreases gas mileage and you are wasting precious food recourses. That isn't economics... its common sense

Any gas over 10% ethanol voids warranties on 2-stroke engines....And when using ethanol gas, mpg decreases, notice how the flame in the end was a lot smaller. I'm working on an HHO gen coupled with a fuel bubbler to get tremendous mpg and no need for catalytic converters

What a great video.... I run all my combustion engines on e85. This simple conversion you show has generated much interest and you should be commended for posting it. I provide kits for e85 conversions for fuel injected engines.

e85 is 105 to 110 octane it works well with high compression and its cheaper then race gas of the same octane

sometime, i would like to do a total rebuild and do all that you said and then some. thanks.

Now look up a briggs cam, get some offset flywheel keys, an aluminum 3 hp flywheel, and a 3hp coil kit. AND ENJOY!! Nice trike!
