Hey, I didn't say 80's music was the best (just that, as an era, it's my favourite). As a generalisation, real music began to die around the early-mid 90's, leaving the old guard and the relatively few modern acts to fly the flag. U2 (my faves) didn't peak until the 90's (& will hopefully return to that standard soon!); INXS peaked just before Hutch's death; Quo peaked early-mid 70's (before I was born), and Queen were consistently good. Not to mention the 60's. So I'm not saying 80's was best.

The six best music instruments are in my opinion is: The Sax, The rock Guitar, The trumpet, The keyboard, the drums, and the piano. I love those instruments. What do y'all think. Man eater, I want a new drug, Do you believe in love, and true all have the sax in it. I love those songs by the way.

Everyone always imagines the music of their youth as the "best"
I was born early enuff to enjoy the 80s (the 60s, 70s & 90s too ;) but EVERY era has sucky music. H&O were okay, not near as bad as KajaGooGoo or Scritti Politti
But nowheres NEAR as cool as ButtHole Surfers or Duran Duran.
