I was holding Stevens acountable for what he specifically said, not for the actions of other Muslims. This probably isn't the place for a debate on religion, but it's ridiculous to invoke the Crusades as a way of arguing Christinaity is as dangerous as Islam. The Crusades were a thousand years old, but the suicide bombings are happening now (and happening frequently). As Steven Weinberg puts it I disrespect all religions, but in our times it is folly to disrespect them all equally.

All three monotheistic religions endorse the death penalty; the fact that most Christians have abandoned biblical teachings does not alter those teachings.

If you are going to a hold him accountable for what a small minority do, then you have to hold all Catholics responsible for the Crusades and the IRA. Christianity has through the centuries, the worst record for genocide of any religious community - endorsed and in many cases, carried out by the church itself. The fact that most Christians are now secular doesn't alter hundreds of years of church teachings.

Hare Krishna, Muslim, Christian, Alien.......who cares for I never pass judgment on ones belief or faith. Once you see past the judgment and hatred then you will hear Cat Stevens for the first time.
